Information I found on internet on similar Hurst shifter with a "serial number " 454344 and patent pending said this:
"The patent number that is on later Hursts (3216274) was issued 11/9/1965. So should have been made before that, or not "too long" after that."
Again, I am not claiming accuracy on that information. Review photos in this listing to determine if this is what you are looking for.
